Appointments
Appointments fill early. Please call to schedule your annual exam 3-4 months before it is due.
Annual exams are for routine preventive care. Problem-related visits will be scheduled as soon as possible
based upon urgency. You can request an appointment through the
Secure Patient Portal on this website.
Two days in advance our appointment reminder system will call to remind you of your scheduled time,
so make sure that we have your correct telephone number. Please give us at least 24 hours notice if
you must cancel an appointment so that we can use that time to accommodate other patients.
Visits
New Patients: If you have not created an online account, you must arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled time.
To create an account, please go to the
Secure Patient Portal at least 4 business days prior to your appointment.

After you have created the account and completed the patient information sheet, complete the appropriate clinical
history form and bring it with you to your appointment. If you have pertinent records from a previous doctor,
please arrange to have a copy sent to us. You can print and complete the Release of
Medical Records form (click here)
and send it to your previous physician.
Established Patients: Please logon to the
Secure Patient Portal and update your demographic changes and complete
the appropriate clinical history form at least 2 business days prior to your appointment.
Please bring your insurance card and a picture ID to as they are copied at every visit so that your account is billed correctly.
After Hours Contact
At all times a physician is on call for emergencies. Call the main number 210 946-1300 and there will be an option for
the emergency mailbox. Leave a message with your name, your concern and a call back number. The on-call physician will
be notified and she will return the call. We ask our patients to please reserve the calls for true emergencies.
For things that can wait until the next business day, please use the option to leave a message for the receptionist.
Nurse Calls
The telephone hours are 8-5 Monday-Thursday and 8-4 Friday.
Established patients can ask non-urgent questions through the
Secure Patient Portal.
Online questions will be answered during regular office hours. If you do call, please
help us make the best use of your time and ours.
When leaving a message for the nurse,
include your name, your doctor's name, and your date of birth and briefly describe the
reason for your call. Always give us the best phone number to return your call. Every
effort is made to return calls by the end of the day. If you have an urgent need after
hours, call the main number and follow the prompts to contact the doctor on call.
Medication Refills
Processing refills through the pharmacy is the most efficient and accurate method. Please call your pharmacy and
they will fax us the complete information. If you need to contact us about your prescriptions, (including birth control pills)
please call during office hours. Non-urgent medication changes will only be made during office hours. Please have the
phone number for your pharmacy available at the time of your call. You can also request prescription refills through the
Secure Patient Portal. Allow 48 hours for all refill requests.

line 7 days after the day the sample is taken.
