Your Partner Through Perimenopause & Menopause

The journey through perimenopause and menopause brings new changes that affect your reproductive system and daily life. However, you don’t have to navigate these changes alone. At Women Partners in OB/GYN, our dedicated OB/GYN care team provides compassionate, personalized care to address your unique symptoms and concerns.

Your Body’s Transition

Perimenopause
Perimenopause is the transition period before menopause, usually starting in your 40s. During this time, your body gradually produces less estrogen and progesterone. This phase can last several years until your periods stop completely.

Menopause
Menopause marks the official end of your reproductive years when you have an absence of menstrual periods for 12 consecutive months. It generally occurs between the late 40s and early 50s, as the ovaries sharply reduce hormone production. This change signals that your body has completed its natural hormonal shift.

Changes You May Notice

Every woman’s journey through perimenopause and menopause is unique, but these are common symptoms you may experience during this transition.

  • Hot flashes & night sweats
  • Irregular periods
  • Mood swings & irritability
  • Difficulty sleeping or insomnia
  • Fatigue
  • Vaginal dryness or low libido
  • Weight gain & changes in body composition
  • Memory or concentration difficulties
  • Breast tenderness
  • Joint or muscle aches

Experiencing these symptoms is a normal part of the transition, and you’re not alone. Our OB/GYN team will provide care focused on understanding and addressing the unique challenges you face to help you feel empowered throughout this journey.

Your Care, Your Way

Every woman’s experience with perimenopause and menopause is different, which is why we take the time to understand your full picture. During your visit, we’ll evaluate several key areas to help guide a care plan that’s as unique as you are.

Hormone Health: We evaluate key hormones like estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone to better understand imbalances and guide your treatment options.

Nutrition: What you eat, and how your body processes it, plays an important role in hormone balance, energy, and overall health.

Stress & Sleep: We work with you to identify triggers and create simple strategies to restore rest and calm.

Lifestyle Support: We look at your full lifestyle, including activity levels, daily routines, and emotional wellness, to help you feel grounded, supported, and in control of your health.

Feel Like Yourself Again

This stage of life isn’t about losing control. It’s about reclaiming it. At Women Partners in OB/GYN, we believe care works best when it’s collaborative. We’re here to listen, guide, and offer support. Together, we’ll create a care plan that’s built around your goals, your comfort, and your voice.
